Extruders handle the central stage of plastic sheet and board production by melting, mixing and moving the raw material towards the die. Plastic pellets or other material first enter through the feeding section, there a rotating screw carries them forward inside a heated barrel. As the material moves through the barrel, it is gradually melted and mixed until it reaches the die, which shapes it into a continuous sheet, board or profile with the required dimensions. To choose the right extruder, it is necessary to consider the resin, required output and finished product specifications.
